The Nova Kakhovka dam blast is an act of terrorism with disastrous environmental repercussions as it puts the largest nuclear reactor in Europe in jeopardy. But who did it?
According to the mainstream media, Russia is definitely behind blowing up the dam which supplies water to the Russian-controlled Crimea, the most important piece of geography in the proxy war between NATO and Russia.
In fact, serious geopolitical experts argue that even the US military generals agree Russia won’t give up the Crimean peninsula which hosts one of its most important fleets on the Black Sea, even if Putin compromised on the rest of the newly occupied regions in Ukraine.
Destroying the dam definitely hurts both Ukraine and Russia but the latter will suffer the most if it can’t supply drinking water to Crimea, which I think is the goal of NATO whose attitude is: if we give in to the fact that Ukraine cannot capture Crimea again, making life difficult for Russia and the inhabitants of Crimea sounds like a brilliant plan.
In US-backed war drills in December 2022, the Ukrainian military tested a strike with an American HIMARS launcher on one of the floodgates at the Nova Kakhovka dam to stop Russian crossings.
The test was a success said Major General Andriy Kovalchuk, who was tasked with leading the Kherson counteroffensive. Interesting hah?
Ana bear in mind, there is a track record for such crimes by the US. In March 2017, explosions knocked the Tabqa Dam in Syria and the mighty flow of the Euphrates River suddenly had no way through. consequently, the reservoir began to rise and local authorities used loudspeakers to warn people downstream to flee.
While US Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend said allegations of US involvement were based on “crazy reporting”, the New York Times revealed that members of a top-secret US Special Operations unit called Task Force 9 had struck the dam using some of the largest conventional bombs in the U.S. arsenal.
The US committed this act of terrorism despite warnings not to bomb the dam because the damage could cause a flood that might kill tens of thousands of civilians.
But if you follow the mainstream press, they tell you Russia: attacked its own pipelines, blew up the Crimea Bridge, attacked its own nuclear power plant, attacked the Kremlin with drones and finally blew up the dam that supplies water to its citizens in Crimea.
I don’t know about you but personally, I would take the allegations of the mainstream media and politicians with a track record of lying with a grain of salt.
