The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) released on 27 January 2023 a third report by the Investigation and Identification Team (IIT) concluding that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the Syrian Arab Air Forces were the perpetrators of the chemical weapons attack on 7 April 2018 in Douma.
The IIT came to the conclusion that at least one helicopter from the Syrian “Tiger Forces” Elite Unit dropped two yellow cylinders filled with toxic chlorine gas on two apartment buildings in a residential neighbourhood in Douma on the evening of April 7, 2018, killing 43 named people and injuring many more.
In this report, Kevork Almassian addresses the third report and controversy aroused by the OPCW administration that is accused by independent researchers of altering and manipulating the initial findings of the organization’s own researchers and scientists.
