The world should not be fooled by the “tactical” move of Russia to freeze the war in Ukraine “on its own terms” says the US secretary of state Antony Blinken commenting on the Chinese diplomatic proposal to end the conflict in the war-torn country.
However, since history is written by the victors and negotiations for settlements of wars are also imposed by the victors, it is reasonable to argue that the Russian side can decide the pre-conditions of ending the conflict since Ukraine and NATO aren’t the winning sides.
Nevertheless, the reaction from the US and the UK, the main leaders of the proxy war against Russia, is a combination of refusal for the current status quo and attempts to change it. How? According to Declassified UK, the UK will send “armour piercing rounds which contain depleted uranium” to Ukraine, for use with the tank squadron donated by the British army.
While American officials refused to comment on the UK’s delivery of depleted uranium to Ukraine, current and former US officials were quick in expressing concern about the Russian-Chinese pact as they freak out over the New World Order shaped by Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin.
